There are always entities skittering around in my mind, but sometime last year, the conditions were met for these entities to evolve into rough characters. I was looking at chameleons, and I thought, hey, the worst part about designing characters is the colors(for me) but not with chameleons! and I was reading up on genetics for bio and stumbled across embryonic development in regard to limb buds, and everything needs dragons, so they got thrown in there as well, and bam. Alternate reality where mutated and then genetically modified chameleons give rise to dragons in Madagascar. Unfortunately in the process, they lose their prehensile tails and neat tongue. They also can't breathe fire. Yet...
The human is Tahiry, and her dragons are the sisters Kanto and Antsa. She originally only had Kanto, but they took in Antsa after her previous caretaker was found to be incompetent. Antsa is a bit...antsy around humans now.
They're descended from jackson's chameleon, arguably the best chameleon, and dragons exist from veiled and panther chameleons as well.
